Yesterday we headed out to get our tree. It is the first tree we have cut ourselves since having small children. For some reason waling around in the rain with two young kids just didn't seem like fun to me. This year, as I have mentioned before, we are just so grown up! This really was a fun event.
We saw this rainbow as we were driving out to the tree farm. Who really gets to say they have rainbows to great them while cutting down a Christmas tree?

I loved the time together. Free hot chocolate, a fire pit to sit around, a wagon ride to the farm. Just more fun.
Other things we noticed. We don't have to worry much about little hands playing with fragile ornaments. We all could be involved putting things on the tree. Mom didn't have a hear attack worrying about things getting broken. What a beautiful tree! Each item hanging brings a memory to mind. I LOVE it!
