From Ethan

"Dad, it is ok if you start lawning it. I'll be right out."
This is to say, "Dad, if you start mowing the lawn, I'll be right out.

Ummm...

Most "normal" people would not encourage their kids to practice their skating moves in the house. Especially, in the small amount of space we live in. Can you guess who was "in charge" here?

I love the concentration on his face.
And the bare feet.
Ready to go. At this point I think little lady here may surprise Gary with her sweet moves before Ethan gets too much courage. He still is quite afraid most of the time when we get to the park.
Watching and taking notes. Smart girl.
You can do it!

T-Ball 2009

This is from the end of the year T-Ball party. Coach Todd was so awesome! We could not have asked for better coach for our first time out with organized sports. Thanks for a great season!
Coach made each player a plaque with their photo on it along with their name and stickers. This was NOT expected or something he had to do. He just does it for the kids. So neat.

Just Plain Cute

I just loved this photo. It was so adorable to walk in and see this.
Better yet, it was great that the second I put the camera down Ethan told her to, "get off of me." As if she were soooo bugging him.

Everyday Stuff

Ever feel like your tomatoe is as big as your head?

Posing like his dad.
Fun times as few weeks ago.

Big Girl!

Here is a photo of my "big" girl. Today we decided/I forgot to change Avery into a diaper when we left the house. She has been "practicing" the potty thing for awhile and literally just needs some time to be done with the diapers. (This has not been on my agenda.) So we were out and about ALL day without an accident! Two hours at a park (with no bathroom), a party (with a bathroom), swimming lessons. No bid deal! Gary asked if she had gone #2 yet and I said, "no, but I am a bit nervous about that." Within 10 minutes she pulled him into the bathroom and did her business. I am so proud and excited. I do realize this may not happen tomorrow, but heck, why wouldn't it!

Last Day of School

The last day of school, although fun, was a bit emotional for Ethan. He was having fun and at the same time I could tell he just was not himself. When I asked him about it he, "I want to see my friends again." I assured him that we would have many more days to have play dates coming up.

Carson and Ethan
I wanted to cry as they were actually signing yearbooks.
How did they get old enough to do that?!?
His friend Luke...
and Carter
I LOVED these shirts they made with all the kids hand prints.
What a fantastic year end project.

Star Wars

As I was leaving work a couple of days ago the poster was being taken to the trash. I asked if I could have it and was so excited to give it to Ethan. I secretly got it home and forgot about it. I decided NOT to put it in his room while he was sleeping. I didn't want to encourage the nightmare that we have been having. So Ethan found him in the morning.

Visiting

We went to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa Monten this past weekend. We forgot to take many photos but got this one. In my opinion, this is the one that will always be remembered, as this is a scene that we see each time we leave. A good memory to have.

Comfortable?

If you were to trace your foot how would you do it?
On the floor or on the table?
Here is one foot.
May as well trace the other one too...
