"Sorry"

Some days I wonder if anything that I am trying to teach my children will actually sink into their being. Today however, I got to see a glimmer of hope that we may in going in the right direction. Avery accidentally hit my face while reaching for something this evening and when I said, "that hurt me" she looked at me and said, "sorry mama and gave me a hug." I guess if you hurt enough people you get to learn how to apologize rather early in life. Also, when we are picking her up from childcare at church this evening she turned around to Ms. Katie and said, "Thank you" without any prompting from me at all. These are the little moments that make all the "work" not so bad. Thanks Avery for a wonderful ending to the day.
