Fair Days Parade 2009

This past Sat. was the annual city parade. We have gone for at least the past three years and really enjoy watching the community spirit. There is just something fun about going to a parade...where they are still allowed to throw candy.

I enjoy teaching the kids to stand up and salute the American flag. We do this every year and it is fun to watch them when they see a flag passing by. I am not sure why this tradition has gone to the way side. It makes me sad.

Thank goodness for candy that little ones can eat and are less likely to choke on!

Ready to trek home. The parade starts only a short way from our house, we always walk as part of the tradition.

Now, off to the fair!
