Apple Pie

A week ago Ethan and I decided we should make a pie. We pass by an apple tree on our bike rides that has been, as far as we can tell, abandoned. So we stopped, picked a few apples that we could reach without crossing the fence and headed home to make a delicious pie. I should say, Ethan and Avery made most of it all by themselves.

I cut their initials into the pie crust and thought it was complete...Ethan than took the knife out of my hand and made an "m." "That is for "mom" he said proudly, almost made me cry.
