The sun was out, it was the last day of spring break (which for us means literally nothing) and the sun was out! (Yes, that was repeated on purpose.) We headed to the zoo with Staci, Katrina and some of their friends.

Who needs a knife when you are resourceful?

Not the normal animal you would find at the zoo but this exhibit is moving in!

This day at the zoo we were not super interested in the animals but rather about being an animal. Ethan, as you will see, just could NOT keep his feet on the ground...ALL DAY, for SIX hours! He was climbing as if he had never been let out of the house before. It was CRAZY! And it was FUN to watch.

I think he ran around the fountain at least 12 times!!!

Here they were wrapping taffy. What a fun spot to stop and watch. Even more fun when they came out and handed us fresh taffy! (NOTE: fresh, warm, soft taffy although fun to savor, is not kept well in a sweatshirt pocket! So sorry Avery, I think it will come out in the wash.)
12 hours of adventure and we were worn out! Again, I LOVE LOVE LOVE going, without a destination or plan or time line. It makes me soooo happy to just be in the moment and doing what feels right at that minute. Thank you kids for adventuring with me.
As Ethan said a few weeks ago. "Mom, as long as we know where home is, we can go anywhere!
