Our first part of Christmas took place at Great Grandma and Grandpa Monten's house in Enumclaw. Unfortunately, Great Grandpa wasn't there because he is recuperating from heart surgery, but he was there is spirit. It was the first year that all the great grandchildren were together at Christmas time and it was a wonderful time. Good food, enjoyable company, and a little bit of chaos; isn't that what Christmas is about?
G.G. and David get ready for dinner. David is actually 1 day younger than Avery but you'd never know it if you saw them together. David is about twice Avery's size and gets around like no child I've ever seen.
The children get together for a Christmas photo: Amy, Macady, Ethan, David, Avery, and Ashlyn.
Avery and Ashlyn learn how to use measuring cups in the kitchen (mostly for noise).
Ethan runs away from Amy and Macady as they burn off a little energy before dinner. This was the first gift for G.G. As you know, two 3 year olds and a two year old can be quite stimulating, and I really think she appreciated the kids getting outside for a bit.
Now, Avery and David play on the floor together.
It was a lot of fun watching the kids enjoy the gifts. Now this is what Christmas is about...
Of course, the wrapping paper is the most enjoyable part of Christmas for Avery.
What would Christmas be without pony rides from Uncle Randy? :)
