A couple of weeks ago we went camping with our friends, The Griffiths, and had so much fun that we decided to return to Gold Basin Campgrounds. The plan was to go up Friday night and come back Sunday afternoon but the weather was not cooperating. When we left our house it was sprinkling and 45 minutes later when we pulled into our site it was a downpour. Being optimistic, we still decided to set up our campsite and hope for the best. We stayed long enough to cook dinner and decided to throw in the towel after our paper plates wouldn't burn on the campfire due to the amount of rain that was falling. Since we paid for the site for the whole weekend, we decided to hike up to the Ice Caves with our friend Tristan on Saturday (look for pictures on the next post) and met up with Elaine, Dave, Amy and David for a late lunch back at our campsite. All in all it was still a very fun weekend. At least we can say we tried:)
Ethan climbed into the back of the car with the camping gear and tried to blend in. It almost worked except he kept laughing.
Mommy and Avery try to stay dry under the canopy set up over the table.
Our best attempt to keep the tent dry.
Ethan braved the rain to collect fire wood. Yes, all those white spots are rain drops
This look says it all. Lets go home kid.
